We have been Who we are & Where we are Your hosts, Caroline & Keith Page, were both born locally and, more or less, have always lived in the area - giving them a great knowledge of where to go and what to see. (Including off the beaten track!) They can also tell you how to get there! For 19 years, Keith worked as a map-maker in Gloucestershire for the Ordnance Survey, and Caroline worked for the Land Registry and ran a local map shop (as well as qualifying in Hotel Management and Catering). Caroline & Keith have lived at Corner Cottage since 1981, during which time they have been active in local village life. Keith is chairman of both the Parish Council and the Village Hall Committee.
Alderton is really between the Cotswolds and the Vale of Evesham most of its farms were horticultural/dairy holdings until the early 1960s. This is illustrated by its older architecture, part Cotswold Stone part Black & White & Thatched often the same house! Since the 60s like many similar sized villages the number of houses & population (approx 550) have increased to accommodate some of the many people wishing to live in the "country" and work in the surrounding towns However unlike many it still retains a School, a Shop a Pub, a Playing field a Village Hall and a Church which all help Alderton to retain a healthy sense of "Community" Members of The Heart of England Tourist Board who have Graded Corner Cottage as
